Hey everyone,

I have an interesting idea to propose for all the more skilled/seasoned game hackers around here. As some of you may or may not know, there's a recent trend of games being developed solely for the purpose of being exploited/hacked. These games are fully functional so that anyone could come in and presumably play them as it; however, it's hacking them to make other things happen or to proceed through the game that's the primary focus.

Pwn Adventure 3 is one such game, which is a fully functional MMORPG (and it looks quite nice, tbh; don't be fooled by the header graphic, lol).

The idea I propose is that, as a community, we work on hacking this game; however, the point isn't just to create cheats and provide everyone with a CT. The point will be to create cheats and then document it completely:

- What the cheat is.
- Which tool(s) you used in the process of discovering what you discovered.
- How to do exactly what you did from the moment you started looking for the exploit/cheat, to making it happen.
- What other bits of knowledge and takeaways are there to be had from your finding.

And so on.

The idea here is to appeal to those who would consider themselves intermediate to early advanced stages of CE. So, you don't have to hold hands through the basic stuff or formulating code injections or scanning for instructions, etc.

The lesson from your end starts perhaps when you really have to start digging through assembly, navigating through tons of calls, monitoring packets so as to inspect and craft your own, mining your way through structures, encountering and overcoming anti-debugging methods, etc.

This ONE GAME (and others like it, such as Pwn Adventure Z) would give this community the opportunity to actually address a myriad of things, including stuff that's typically avoided here (multiplayer/online hacking).

I want to grow my skill set and become a significantly better game hacker and reverse engineer, and I already know a specific handful of you where who have skills that we could all benefit from in one succinct thread, using one game that we can all learn from.

I'm not sure who all would be down for something this, because I know it means you spending time and effort to actually do all this...but I hope this would be a worthwhile project of sorts. Thanks for reading all this; I'm interested to hear thoughts, or to just get the ball rolling!
