I'm not exactly new to cheat engine, but i am still a novice. I only know the basic usage like how to search for values and edit them (hp, mp, gold, etc), however, i dont know how to do the advanced stuff such as using item IDs to manually add stuff into the game (or change what monsters drop). This is why i come for help.

I need an explanation on how to use Item IDs to add items in the game. Whether by editing it into a specific monster loot table, or by editing it into the shop, it matters not. I just need to figure out how to do it. I got the spreadsheet to tell me what the Item IDs are, but i dont know how to use them, that's the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

While checking on Shinkansen's table, I find out that you can make/get item by changing the id to what you want by either

activating Item Stats Base Address Scan Initialization dropdown ,then, change the value of Item Stats Update Base Address? to 1 ( before that activate Item Stats Overview Base Address Scan script ), then do something related to item.The Item ID's value in Item Stats will be updated and you can change it to item id that you desire

or

By activating the Battle Results Stats Base Address Scan Initialization dropdown.Then, activated Battle Results Stats Base Address Scan script.Change the value of Battle Results Stats Update Base Address? to 1. Open Battle Results Stats drop down ,then, change the things to what you want.

If the script are not activating, it's either that the intruction is not create yet or the aob signature for the instruction is difference.

If the signature is difference,you have to update it by finding the instruction and update the aob.Then, some other things that I'm too lazy to explain it. -_-

The problem is, i dont know cheat engine well enough to find the dropdown menus for the Base Address Scan Initialization thing that you're talking about. I tried to fool around with cheat engine by adding the table file i downloaded and then thinking i needed to run a trainer, but i had no idea what i was doing. So that can do more harm then good if i dont know what i'm doing in situations like this. Again, i'm a complete noob when it comes to scripts. Can anyone explain to me in detail how to edit the Item IDs? and with the full method. screenshots of each cheat engine menu used would help.

I dont know if it makes any difference, but somewhere someone mentioned to open up the table file in a spreadsheet like excel. I dont have that. all i have is notepad.

Open the cheat table using cheat engine and you will see some of things that I had typed about.

In cheat engine, Open Process and choose your game process -> Open.

i downloaded the latest table earlier, but i still dont understand how to attach it. I looked at it through google, and it only tells me what the codes are for the items i want, it doesnt explain how to use the codes. I went to his download page and his latest version is the one i already got yesterday.

Also, how do you attach 'ce' to game? (what does 'ce' stand for btw?)

I'm sorry about being annoying, i know very little about cheat engine. i may need a step by step guide on how to put it into the game.

Maybe it might be easier if we can chat in skype? My skype name is mrbojingo2. I can share my screen with you and you can guide me step by step on what to do.

EDIT: Ok, update. i successfully managed to figure out how to load the table. I've gotten up to the "Battle Results Stats", got the dropdown menu, checked "Dropped Item IDs", and there was another drop down menu with slot 1, 2, and 3. I get an error beep whenever i try to select a slot. I think it wants me to edit the value, but i dont know what to edit. I'm afraid if i fool with the wrong thing, i'll break the game.

EDIT 2: Nevermind. Figured it out. I was suppose to have the battle results page open. I got what i wanted now. Problem solved now.
