idk if im retarded and this already has a name or not but basically its: instead of putting in new entries daily for things that happen in external reality, you put down what you think about and your beliefs and how you currently view things. now instead of taking those beliefs and writing a new set every day, you amend them, edit them, add more, remove some, etc. its one solid thing that basically becomes a copy of your consciousness. of course, everything needs context so you would include details of external reality, but it wouldn't be the focus of it.

for example you could write some shit like:
"those following commands to feel the sensation of such should discontinue this in order to feel the sensation of becoming things other than someone elses sense of entitlement" (some nonsensical shit for examples sake)

and then the next day you could add to it:
"because of the new view I found while reading xyz book, its lead me to consider the possibility that every person doing such following needs to do so in order to be broken off of that path and realize themselves as an individual, which is natural and similar to events I have experienced myself"

now the purpose of this could be as writing exercise, to be able to turn complex thoughts that are not typically written down into english sentences that actually make sense. another is to allow yourself to fully take into consideration what you ACTUALLY believe, and not what you offhandedly think of only on a day-to-day basis when the situation arrives. thirdly, you can look back and read through it as it becomes larger, and critique your own thoughts: judging what aspects you need to expand upon, or that you notice you are lacking in because you cannot expand upon them, what language you repeat and correcting it if need be, etc: other similar things.

similarly you could do something with emotions. writing down how each thing makes you feel that you experience and writing it down everyday for convenience sake. both of these probably go hand in hand as it would be hard to separate your beliefs and experiences from the emotions that accompany them.

another way to think of this is as if you're developing a character for a book or movie. and every day you add more to this document/paper further completing every aspect of this character, except the character is yourself. may allow things to be looked at more objectively.

You obviously need to look up "book of shadows" or even "dream diary"
