The 'all that fuss' is really a mix of media and the internet blowing things out of proportion. It was like a couple of people who ranted about it in a publicly accessible media format, and that just got expanded exponentially to make it appear that there is a big stink about it. Never really was though. Some of the memes responding to it were hilarious though.

Or, more specifically, a deplorable person by the name of Joshua Feuerstein, and at least one Conservative site that started fanning the flames based on his rantings... and the result is the appearance of some big controversy that didn't even really exist at all. lol

The only fuss is coming from people making a fuss about how silly it is to make a fuss about it.
