Come on, think logically
What makes more sense?
Code that can be analyzed by everybody and anybody for flaws and bugs, then patched?
Or code that is only accessible to a small certain group of well paid individuals, who receive thousands of bug reports because their software is absolute shit that crashes all the time?

Let me just shut this discussion down once and for all
I'll give three instances where open source has absolutely anally raped closed source; Browsers, Operating Systems, and Phones
In terms of browsers
Internet Explorer - Closed source, code under the ownership of Microsoft
Firefox - Open source, rated most secure browser over and over, also the core browser used for surfing the TOR Network included in the TOR Browser Bundle
Google Chrome - Used the same dirty tricks as Microsoft to promote their software, only popular because Google is Big Brother and is very rich, basically a rip off of Firefox and Internet Explorer, like IE, it crashes all the time, can't handle tabbed browsing well (I'm talking 10+ tabs), and still doesn't know how to manage tabs properly (each tab results in a new process that can be monitored by task manager). Claims to be open source, but really, it's closed source with only engineers being allowed to handle code, but you can make suggestions on their "open source forum", lmfao, what a fucking joke. No different than IE in this regard
In terms of phones:
Android - Open source, more stable than iPhones in this regard, more secure for reasons pointed out above, there is more freedom, no software AIDS
iPhone - Totally shit brick that relies on a closed operating source, a black box that is so secretive, no one knows what's inside of it, not even the producers
In terms of Operating Systems (OS):
Microsoft - Closed source, the only way it can compete with software piracy or free packages found bundled in Ubuntu, is through "discount packages" where they basically take away the cost of software (like Microsoft Office) that is essentially supposed to be free for everyone anyway
Linux - I don't even think I need to explain this here on CEF
MacOS - Refer to point above
