Hello
I currently have an issue with rescanning in a huge pointer scan result with about 3.5 Billion pointers in it.
When trying to 'rescan memory', the progress bar goes slowly, but steadily. However, cheat engine keeps increasing its required memory, to the point where I run out of memory (cheat engine is using about 5GB ram at this moment) and unable to complete the re-scan.
Is there a reason why this process requires such an amount of memory? Is there a way around it?

a rescan will slowly make a full copy of the game (just like unknown initial value scans with readonly memory included)
besides that, there is a bug that causes rescans to not free that memory when done. so after a rescan, restart ce
that bug is fixed in next verdion (rescanning a huge file will still be slow)
disk space and long rescans can be removed as well next version, but it will require a bit more work setting things up. One downside is that if you use that feature, the memory usage doubles
