Passed the senate no problem, primed to pass the house and get signed. Pretty much allows companies to send whatever they want to the government for the sake of "cybersecurity". All amendments to water-down the language failed and no filibusters were allowed. The NSA is becoming stronger.

Eventually advertising companies, the NSA, Google, and all these other organizations will have so much control over monitoring users, that the TOR Network will be more widely in use than the clear web, which will be riddled with conservatives who will be making conspiracy theories about how the TOR Network is a way to thought monitor the general public.

interwebs have gone to shit last 5 years. Dumb everything down for the average social media retard or female... and censor the fuck out of every single god damn thing that made the internet darkside great. Now the internet is just basically a vague retelling of George Orwell's 1984 and everybody just talks about how good shit used to be. 4chan/cef/megaupload/tpb/"a site without a name" etc etc

I thought TOR or access to the deep web was already more widely in use than the clear web. I mean that is where the actual internet is at from what I heard.

Only for illegal activities or people who don't want their activities actively monitored.

DNS only bypasses your ISP because he's generally too much of a lazy shit to track beyond that (It often costs a lot of money to get the warrant and stuff)

So in theory DNS is good for stuff like watching porn at school, but if you want to be watching porn in a country where they have the death penalty for it (ie Saudi Arabia) then use TOR
