Hello, Im new to the forums, and fairly new to cheat engine. I was hoping I could get some feedback on what I may be doing wrong, and why what I'm doing is not working the way I want.
What I'm trying to do is display addresses values in my trainer, that are related to displaying character statistics in game, such as "Map#, Xloc/Yloc, gold amount, ect."
-I find my address that has the value I need.
-I find what accesses it.
-I copy the proper address, and offset listed.
-I search the hex address and find the correct address, and make a pointer with that address, and the offset from before.
(That is the way I'm trying to get it to display the value always in trainer.)
So, this works fine for me, and whenever the address with my value changes, the pointer always points to the correct address that contains the value I want to display.
The problem is, this will not work for other people I have had test, only for myself. I'm sure I need to do more than what I'm doing currently, but if anyone could try to help me out/ just explain what I need to do, or what other methods I should be trying ect, that would be appreciated.
Any detailed tutorials/helpful links would be very much appreciated also!

Well, the first thing you did wrong was you didn't read the rules

I didn't know that was against the rules. Generally it helps to post the game name, so I did.
Your comment was completely irrelevant either way, and not helpful what so ever.
I figured out my problem on my own anyways, it's because I needed to debug more, and use multi level pointers.
