Cheat Engine

I just built a new PC and it works fine at the shop but won't turn on at home, fans won't spin. I returned to the shop and it works fine. The case was not opened, we just plugged it in and pressed the switch. When I came back home it won't turn on again.

Specs:

New parts
-Intel G3258
-MSI H87I
-Aerocool 500W
-WD 1TB Blue

Old parts from other PC
-Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB
-Palit GTX 550Ti

I have tried the following:
Use an AVR
Use another PSU - Cougar 500W
Used 4 other power cables
Plug it in neighbor's house
Turning it on with no GPU, RAM, HDD

PS:
RAM, HDD, PSU, GPU works fine on my other SandyBridge PC
I don't think it's the outlet's problem because I plugged my i5 PC on that outlet and it works fine
I have tried all power outlets in the house and still nope

it may sound stupid, but if your power plug can fit both ways (e. g europe) then try it the other way. This actually makes a difference in some older houses

besides that, try heating up your PC before turning it on, perhaps some broken contacts only make contact when hot enough (some gpu's i've seen suffered from that problem, and also a mainboard once)

Tried plugging it the other way around, still did not work.
As for now, I can't find a way to heat the PC without turning it on, but the PC was not exposed to any heat when I bought it to the shop and it worked. It was exposed to cold due to the taxi's aircon system.

Wow, that's a pretty odd issue. Sounds like you'll probably have to swap out the motherboard if you've already tested every other component. Is it grounded in the case properly?

Are you certain that you are using the proper motherboard backplate that came with your board? If not it could be a grounding issue not allowing the system to boot at all. Be certain that everything is seated properly and that the backplate is correctly in position and is the one that came with your motherboard.

The motherboard did not come with a backplate. I tried it in another case and outside the case, still did not boot. I'll be taking it back to the shop on Jan. 5 and see what they'll do about it.

EDIT: They let me borrow another board for testing at home and it worked. However, no one has any idea what was wrong with my other board. Others tested it in their homes and it did not work. Wierd...

How do you plug the computer to the wall? Did you plugged any other thing to the same wall?

Can you take and upload a photo?

Do you use a stabilizator/UPS? If you plug too many things it may not have enough power.

What voltage do uses your home/country (220V 110V)
You may have the wrong voltage (do not try to mess with it, if you set your power source to 110, and plug it on 220, it will burn itself. The other way, your PC will not boot).

It's typical motherboard failing. That mb will be dead in couple months if not soon. I had often experienced such things with new laptops/computers. Not sure why factory often sent out faulty mb... always need to send back for warranty and computer last forever after that. Suggest you to make sure your new mb don't fail at least 2 years or before warranty expire.

The motherboard was actually faulty and got replaced with an MSI Z97i AC for free lol.

This is looking strange for me. In such situations, basically it might be the problem with the power connections. Did you check the power connection from UPS to CPU? The shoppers used to connect directly to the power rather using UPS. In such case, you had better change the UPS to CPU connection plug.
