Hi I am writing a Flappy Bird bot for fun. I managed to get the Y-Coordinate of the bird but I am not understanding the scaling of the coordinate. Can someone with experience please guide me how to scale to "normal" unit with equal distance? I have attached the picture and hopefully this explains my point.

Basically the coordinate is increasing exponentially. 2.0-2.5 is very close to each other. And 4.0-4.5 is very wide spread. The coordinate is in float. Can somebody please explain to me why the number are in such format! Thank you so much!

They use a float cause it'll give a nice smooth effect.

Eh, cause they programmed it that way; either figure the fomular out or live with it.

Y position isn't a float but a double. 0 means top of the screen, starting position varies between 512 and 530, and you hit the ground near 900.

You experience weird behavior because your are reading a part of the double.
