First off you need to take a chill pill to understand this.
When you are installing CE it gives you option to select whether or not you want other stuff installed along with it.
I have been using it for last 10 years or so and never once had a problem.
There are many good softwares that come with shareware to pay for the developer's time.
CE is a definitely good software and if you install it right you should not have any problem.
Also, after installation if you have any messages from antiviruses you can safely ignore it.

it has been in ce 5.6, which was released in 2010, so i wouldn't really call it "latest versions"

CE is installed over 2.5 million times a month, if it was bad there would be a LOT more posts about it, instead of the occasional crybaby who rather believes his AV warning than do actual research on what it is and does

and if you read the download page you can find a version without setup
