Hello, I am trying to find the static address for Mana in this game I'm playing, however, when I try to find the 2nd level pointer, I am stuck at this part where it gives me a xor instruction, which I don't know what to do with it.

Help is much appreciated to understand how to deal with this certain circumstance where you're given a xor instruction instead of a regular mov.

That instruction sets EAX to zero.

A lot of games nowadays do not have traditional pointer paths with static base addresses and thus the old methods are generally considered obsolete.

If you NEED a pointer, use the scanner. It will get pointer paths that the old methods could never get.

Otherwise, go for injection or something.

Ahhh, but when I tried to use the scanner on the address 197F9B44, it gave me A LOT of pointer paths, and closing the game, getting the new address and rescanning is taking a very long time, what should I configure on the pointer scanner window to make this faster?

Telling it what final offset to use to start can help trim down the initial found amount.

Though really, a lot of things can be done quicker, easier, and more stable with code injection nowadays, especially with the new AOB injection template.
