so I want to learn reverse.. downloaded lena151 tutorials and started working
on Windows xp vmware..

I know how to save changes about instructions/code

but when I want to change a string I cant?

Why not use Ollydbg if you are using Windows XP and 32bit ?. It does look an awful a lot like Olly actually and not immunity debugger.

Anyway, go to Binary and there should be edit or something similar that lets you edit the bytes.

Immunity is based on olly source.. just newer

but I already edited the bytes.. but I cant save it..

Select the changed bytes then there should be an option in right click menu that says to save modifications etc. Thats in Olly, i have no idea about Immunity.

Which version of Immunity Debugger are you using? The right-click menu should have the 'Copy To Executable' option in it.

Also is the memory region you are editing static? Or is it being dynamically loaded at runtime? If its loaded into memory at runtime then you cannot save it to the executable file and the option will not be present.

From the look of your screenshot I'm going to assume it is due to the memory region not being static.
