| You expect your ping to change, why?

| Higher download speeds doesn't equal lower latency.

| As long as you have an internet connection faster than like 0.5mbit your latency won't change even if you upgrade from 2mbit to 100 (unless you were downloading at the same time and having your bandwidth on max load, but that's irrelevant because no one tests their ping with full load on the network anyway)

| So, more upload? Last few ISP I have had including this have given me better bandwidth when requesting faster upload. For now this is the fastest. Soon my area will get 30/5 and 50/5.

Some things you could do is look over your router, modem etc and making sure they're tuned if you're allowed to do so.

Then I have it running through a Buffalo N600 router that runs DD-wrt. I have looked over it many times along with looking up about it. Its as tuned as it can go.
I just have a good 8 people on my internet. 3 people who were staying with me moved out so now they arent on it. It does fairly well with 11 people so 8 should make it less hogged. Only me and my other friend who lives here game now. Others use netflix but I set it to lowest usage for their accounts.

Latency is more affected by distance than thoroughput. Best way to resolve latency is connecting to closer servers, or minimizing the amount of servers a a connection is routed through.
