				Check this

So i get it, sales must be low considering how crappy their games have become recently and all they are doing right now is releasing remastered versions of their old games which were crappy to begin with. But what the fuck Capcom have some dignity. These are the threads they went after

How in the fuck does that infringe on their copyrights ? I have no idea, if anything the trainers may have brought a few people to play their shitty game.

I am not sure if Dark Byte received the same notice but i just noticed the DMCA notice in my google webmasters and was like wtf. Funny thing is they even 2shared because the trainer download is no longer available.

I have been wanting to submit a counter-notification but honestly, i don't think Google gives a shit when it comes to small websites and its going to be futile at the best and my site may get removed completely from search so i guess i am just gonna have to stop training their shitty remastered games.

Japs should just stick to their anime and fucked up hentai porn, first Nintendo now Capcom, i am losing all respect for Jap game devs. Err...can't believe i forgot From Software

I just had a read through some of those claims, and some are completely hilarious:

(From link 1)

THE official playstation website. Who said "sales must be low" ?

 	  | Quote: | Copyright claim #23

Kind of Work: software

Allegedly Infringing URLs: 38. something on deviantart.com | Since when can we host softwares on deviantart ?

Also spotted a moddb link and a scammy game review site (ctrl+f "review").

(From link 2)

 	  | Quote: | Copyright claim #6

Kind of Work: image

Allegedly Infringing URLs: none | So what's the problem then? U mad bro? Or does .chillingeffects hide some links?

Anyway, camcom has a dmca bot, I assume they give it a keywords ("trainer" being probably one of them) a few images and it goes on an image reverse search engine, then they remove links from a whitelist. Turns out it's still completely retarded and they don't seem to manually checks the result. Given the amount of results I can somewhat understand that they don't want to read the output, but still, when there are legal implications...

It's because they are fucking stupid and lazy to check what is on the site.

Some time ago Rovio was bitching about Angry Birds but they didn't complain about the trainers, they were thinking that I am hosting warez.

It's probably some automated system. Sending a reply is pointless, they don't give a shit about a response, they just send out DMCA notices in masses.

And yes, CE forum is also on the list, but the topics are still there, so I guess DB either didn't give a damn or he didn't receive anything.

Best to stay within compliance if there is any possibility of infringement...even if that includes a small image or textual tradem4rk. If you're not sure, consult with your attorney or just take it down. That is my advice to anyone that may read this.

If they are really submitting automated cease and desist/DMCA notices en masse, that is just not wise and it could backfire. Perhaps this task is being outsourced to a third party that doesn't know any better.

Unidam, Inc.

on behalf of Capcom Co., Ltd. | And then on Unidam's website you have: http://www.unidam.com/protectionservices

it's just automated dmca filing without checking facts

e.g just this text:.download warez resident evil illegally here http://imgur.com/gallery/QASOJat

will cause capcom to file a dmca for this page, and i will then give a rats ass about that

wow i hadn't noticed that, this is hilarious. About the bot thing, i think you are right...that is probably how Google's own DMCA system works. They get the dmca notice, their automated system filters out the websites in whitelist (playstation site e.g) and mass removes every other url from search.

I take back what i said about not releasing another trainer for their games, just realized a few of the other games they made (dead rising 3/lost planet 3). Oh man i guess i just gotta pray they don't go after other of my trainers for their future games and old ones (devil may cry).

This is just sad

EDIT: Just noticed the new replies, i saw unidam too but thought it was their sub-branch or division that dealt with copyrights didn't realize it to be a separate entity. Well, that explains a lot actually, i am going to look in the thread and see if i can find what triggered the detection. Obviously something did because we have 3+ trainers for RE and only HG's one triggered that. Could be that 2shared link.
