| I've never played any of them, but I think Nintendo is best for local co-op games and family games. If you're more into single player games, then Xbox would be better.

I was playing the new smash Bros and it was amazing. Best one yet imo and I'm told the online play is decent

I have a Wii U and PS4 (so, I'm gonna biasedly tell you not to buy that cable box called XB1).
Wii-U:
- Smash is fun as hell
- Mario Kart's really fucking fun
- Has been collecting dust for months because apart from playing an exciting game for a few weeks, I don't get an urge to keep on playing
- Gamepad is clunky as all hell. I mean it's not bad, but compared to nearly everything else, it's the worst one of the pact
- New zelda coming out next year *hype*
- Splatoon
PS4:
- Much more social interaction with my friends. Things such as share-play are really amazing, and have used it quite a bit
- More powerful hardware, and games reflect on this
- Cross-game party chat
- Able to stream any game right outta the box, no need to get a streaming machine such as an elgato
- Can do remote play if you have an Android phone, or a Playstation Vita. So, whenever you're at school or some shit, you can play your PS4 games on the go.
- Not many exclusives yet, but Bloodborne, and a few other games look and play really well
Comparing both, they're both great systems, but I have to give the edge to the PS4 for longivity. I'm actually completing the games, unlike the Wii U where it feels like a chore, and the games appeal only lasts a few weeks. Most of my friends have the same conundrum where unless a new game or dlc comes out, our wii u stays collecting dust. It's an awesome secondary console.
