That doesn't require steam? I don't know why but I can't seem to play with steam nowadays.

I take it from the suggestions it's RPGs you are wanting? Baldur's Gate 1/2 and Icewind Dale have new enhanced editions. Fallout 1/2 and Planescape are always great. Along this vein there's Xenonauts and UFO Series. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republics are on gog now. Gothic's like the granddaddy of PC ARPG. The Escapists is an interesting game about prison life. Syndicate is free on origin but that'd require you using EA's steam clone.

Edit: Seems Chris Avellone has attached to a new Planescape so that's awesome.
