|
|
Hi guys,
I recently discovered an issue (which I would guess is caused by the "Read/Write Process Memory" kernel routine):
When I use the "Find Memory" Option to scan for AOB-Arrays, it works just fine if there's no match.
So I search from e.g. 0 to 7FFFFFFF and when there's no match it says "Nothing found" after a few seconds, as ususal.
When there is a match, it jumps to the right address, but when I now want to find out, if there's a second match and therefore start the next search from the previous found address to 7FFFFFFF, CE gets unresponsive and even after 5 minutes doesn't manage to finish the search, which means I have to kill its process in the Taskmanager ...
I started to use the kernel routines just a few days ago and before there was no such problem, that's why I think the problem is caused by one of the kernel routines ...
Btw if it's important to know, the regular search on the main form (so scanning for floats, 4bytes, etc.) is working perfectly well, it's just the AOB-Scan option ...
Hope you know the issue and how to fix it

P.S.:
- Running CE on Win 8.1 x64
- All three boxes (Query region, read/write process memory and open process) on the settings->extra tab are checked
EDIT:
With simple testing of checking/unchecking different checkboxes I found out that the "Query memory region routines" is the problem. If I leave this one unchecked, but have the other two checked, the AOB-Scanning is working just the way it's supposed to be ...

Wow, am I the only one with this problem?
For the moment I leave the query memory kernel routine unchecked, but I'd like to use that one too, so any help would be appreciated
