Windows 98 was my family's first operating system, and my very first computer of my own was a 6 inch thick craptop. I remember when everyone on the internet "TiPED LEiK DiS" and really thought it was cool. I remember opening up disks in the mail of aol free trials. I used to use aim like crazy, as soon as i would come home from school id talk to my buds on aim. Remember those good old myspace "top 8s"? I remember when everybody felt the need to put "stars and squiggly lines" all on their myspace profile picture. Remember the internet before email spam laws? What about when youtube had a star based rating system?

Honestly, i dont miss those days. What do you think?

i miss using MSN and playing D2 (wow dark byte has the word d-i-a-b-l-o- blocked in general because of 3) without a crazy amount of bots and hackers. also wc3 with the crew, NoBN will forever be better than LoL or Dota 2

and i dont really care about the youtube star system because people probably used it incorrectly

but no i dont miss it in general, i dont feel nostalgia often.

I miss when I felt special for being a kid on the internet. Back when we were all relatively geeky or nerdy, and it felt like a special group as early adopters. Now with the mainstream-ization of the internet, it certainly doesn't feel the same anymore. Everybody's using the internet, all the jocks, soccer moms, etc and I'm still trying to come in grips with this. Still not used to the idea that computers are not just for nerds anymore, they're for everybody in our social realm.

I miss MSN too . I miss all the people I knew back in the days from other cities and I miss talking to them whole night. I didnt know for rickroll, 4chan and other shit untill I've came in the random spamm.
