Cheat Engine

Hi there!

I have a very very basic understanding of Cheat Engine, limited to the following knowledge (Using Just Cause 2 as an example since it's the game I'm hoping to continue playing)

I open Just Cause 2, log in to my game and then load the process with Cheat Engine.

I check my current rocket launcher ammo and it's 12, so I search for 12 in Cheat Engine. I then fire/reload so it keeps decreasing by 1, and search for the new value each time. I do this until it's narrowed down to an address, and I then change my ammo to 12 and lock it.

This is all I need to do with it so far, however my issue is that every time I start the game and do this again, the addresses have changed so I have to repeat this process each time and can't save the values (because they change).

What I'd like to know is if there's a way that I can lock these addresses every time without having to search for them, and if so - how?

You would have to attach a Debugger to the process. Then find out through the debugger what is accessing your address.
Eventually you should be able to locate the main address for the ammo and freeze it there.

Well you can make a script that patches the game so you don't need the addresses.
