Alec Muffet, software engineer for security infrastructure for Facebook, announced that “Internet users who use the Tor browser to protect their anonymity can now visit Facebook via a special .onion address: facebookcorewwwi.onion.”

Wait, what does it change that they now have an onion URL? It's not like you can't use the regular URL to visit facebook on Tor.

Edit: Oh wait nvm, just realized it's to protect you against other attackers, not against facebook itself. So not much has changed basically.
