Cheat Engine

Hi!
I have a problem with Cheat Engine 6.4 on windows 8.1 64 bit.
I have been using this program for some time now (mainly on my old laptop - windows 7; 64 bit) and had no problems, but ever since buying a new laptop I have noticed a problem.
Whenever I'm trying to change a record, changing the value action doesn't seem to work. The value just quickly changes it's color to red and never changes. I can't even attempt to change the value (the window doesn't pop up). I even tried this on programs and values that had worked in the past on my old laptop.
Any suggestions? Please help!

Does the tutorial work

Try uninstalling your anti virus, firewall and other security systems
