One of the servers I liked i got banned on but what confuses me isn't that. I changed my ip address and created a new character but for some reason im still banned on that server.
Anyone have a clue as to why?

Your steamid is probably banned from that server
Create a new steam account and buy terraria for that, see if that works better

Terraria does not use Steam IDs at all, so bypassing a ban is easy.
For one thing though, keep in mind with tShock running they can ban you using:
- Your character name.
- Your IP address.
- Your UUID.
To get unbanned from any server do the following though:
- Do something to cause your IP to change.
- Create a new character with a new name. (Do not use your old name that was banned.)
- Delete your config.dat inside the 'C:\Users\<Your_Username_Here>\Documents\My Games\Terraria' folder.
Then you should be able to play again. The main thing is resetting your UUID which is generated and stored in the config.dat inside the Terraria game data folder. Just delete the file and Terraria will generate a new one when its launched. The UUID is not unique to your system at all, its just a generated GUID at launch.[/list]

They don't, like I said in my post it is just a generated GUID. It is not based on any information, it is literally:
| Code: | | var uuid = new GUID(); |
