Throw buckets of ice on top of it and wait for it to melt. Before you know it, it'll never ever overheat again
And yeah, I know this is a spammer

Refer to your manufacturers guide on how to disassemble the laptop properly.
Once you understand how to do that take apart the laptop and do the following key things to ensure the laptop has proper airflow and ventilation:
- Reseat the CPU with fresh thermal glue.
- Clean the heatsink for the CPU and ensure the fan (if it has one) is working properly.
- Clean all vents that expose outside air into the CPUs area of the internal motherboard when the case is shut.
- Clean the GPU ventilation shafts as well. (If it has one.)
- Clean the CPU fan / heatsink (if it has one) and ensure if the fan (if it has one) is working properly.
- Do an overall cleaning of the internal case to ensure no dust is collected and closing off any ventilation that the laptop should regularly have.
- Clean the keyboard area / surface thoroughly to ensure everything is open and ventilated.

Some other tips for staying cool while using the laptop:
- Do not use the laptop on a non-flat surface.
- Do not use the laptop on a surface that conducts heat or traps the heat as the laptop exhausts it.
- Ensure that anytime the laptop is in use, none of the vents are being blocked.
- Do not use the laptop in an area that is already hot, try to stay in cool rooms or areas.
- Do not use the laptop in direct sunlight.

Some accessories you can look into to help keep the laptop cooled down:
- Look into getting a cooling pad surface.
- Look into getting an external cooling fan that attaches to the laptop.

If all else fails you can look into modding the case of your laptop yourself to create more airflow. Keep in mind this will definitely void any warranty you have on it so use it as a last ditch effort. But basically you could drill more holes into the case and cover with a mesh to prevent dust but allow airflow. Or cut out sections of the case and do the same. If there is space for it you could add your own fans to the case as well, powered by USB or similar to easily connect to the system and help with the air circulation.
