Hi all,

I have a big problem what about I want to scan and lock a value, but it is changing every moment, and can't stop the game, if use the CE's function "Stop the game when scanning" , the game will crash...

So, how should I start to mod the value?

get stuck on scan the value...I dont know how to find the value...T_T

*BTW, it's no any number, just a "bar"

You could try enabling speedhack to slow down or even pause the game. But I guess that if it crashes when using the 'stop the game when scanning'-option, it'll probably crash using speedhack as well.

When you say it's changing every moment, do you mean that it's always rising or decreasing? Or is it changing to completely random values?

you can try search range of values on cheat engine("value between..." option)
so you wont miss it

Well, if the value is always rising, you could do a first scan for 'Unknown initial value' (by selecting it as the scan type). Then do the next scan for 'Increased value' (again by selecting it as the scan type), and keep doing this until only one address remains.
However this only works up until your MP has reached its maximum value (since that means it stopped rising). I'm guessing the maximum amount of MP is quickly reached in this game?

Something else you could try is this:
1. Do a first scan for 'Unkown initial value' when your MP is full
2. After it has finished scanning, start using magic attacks in the game and do the next scan for 'decreased value' while you keep on using magic attacks, never letting your MP reach its maximum value.
3. After it has finished scanning, let your MP rise to its maximum and do the next scan for 'increased value'.
4. Without doing anything in the game, do the next scan for 'Unchanged value'.
5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 until only one value remains.

To make it easy to start scanning while you're using magic attacks in the game, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to scan. To do this, go to Edit -> Settings -> Hotkeys.
You will only need to make a hotkey for 'Next Scan-Decreased value', which is near the bottom of the list.
