Ok this is really weird and I've never encountered it before.

I started using my spare PC to play Counter-Strike Source since my main one is currently not working. I noticed that every 15 minutes or so I was kicked out of the game saying something about "Secure connection failed".
A common error I'm familiar with and it's usually either your network connection or the Steam servers.

I noticed that my connection to Steam also dropped about the same time I was kicked. I checked my browser and it also had a hard time connecting to anything. But the really weird part is when I started playing other games like Digital Paintball 2. No connection problems.
No problems at all ingame but still my browser still couldn't connect to websites when I checked while playing.

I've also got a second PC running all the time which works just fine and doesn't have any problems at all.

I tried replacing the ethernet cable but still no luck.
It makes CSS unplayable. I hope you can help me. Crying or Very sad

Is your system time correct? I would also check that you have the latest updates (browser and game) and that you are not connecting through a proxy (check browser network settings).

It's hard to say without more information.

When you say that you had to update your clock again, was the time off...or did you just update it again to try to fix the problem?

Did you update your game/browser so that they are current?

You might check your power settings to see if your network adapter is getting shut off after the computer has been idle for some time. It wouldn't hurt to also turn off your screen saver while playing, just to remove another possible culprit.

You could also try pinging their servers to see if there is any latency or data loss. Open command prompt and type:

ping -t WEBADDRESS (example: ping -t www.google.com)

or...

ping -t IPADDRESS (example: ping -t 209.85.128.0)

Let it run for a while, then press Ctrl+C to stop it.

Other than that, check your adapter settings to see if IP is being resolved automatically.

I'm not familiar with this game, but a quick search indicates that a lot of people have a similar problem with this game.
