Well one thing is sure. If it has VAC, we will not discuss it, because bypassing such anti-cheats is not allowed.

(And discussing the online part of the game is not allowed either.)

Unplug your network cable and reboot, or execute "ipconfig /release" . (if you have wifi tell it to forget the current connection)

(if steam tell it to go into offline mode)

Then launch the game, and with luck the game will detect that you have no internet connection, so it will automatically disable all internet related options (that way you can't accidentally connect to a server and get banned)

If it refuses to run, then just try to launch the game, enter single player mode, and disconnect ("ipconfig /release or forget network)
With luck the game will keep running.

If it doesn't, get a refund as you bought an online only game which isn't what was advertised

also, once you have modified your game, never go online while playing that game. Delete the character if you wish to go online again
