This is my code for a simple detour forced jump, I'd do something similar for a NOP as well. Should this be done differently? eg. declaring labels etc. possible bugs.

aobscan(aob_sta_on,73 3E 83 C0 11 53 8B 5D 0C)
alloc(newmem,2048)

aob_sta_on:
db EB

[DISABLE]
aobscan(aob_sta_off,EB 3E 83 C0 11 53 8B 5D 0C)
aob_sta_off:
db 73
dealloc(newmem)

You don't have to allocate memory.
