Hi,
I a major noob, and I'm trying to go through the Cheat Engine tutorials.
I got a little stuck in tutorial number 8. I was able to find the static d it from the options. Am I missing something? If it is gone now, how domemory value that points to the the first of the four chained pointers, however, the tutorial wants me to click the "Change Register" button (which should be "Change Pointer", btw), then it says I have 3 seconds to change the health to 5000. I'm not sure how I freeze values, or have it automatically update the the health value by automatically following the pointer chain.
I went online to Youtube to see if anyone had an example tutorial. Several people did, but in their versions of Cheat Engine, they were able to just select the four pointer address and click the freeze column. Cheat Engine 6.3 doesn't seem to have this column, or a way to ad I accomplish this in 6.3? The tutorial isn't very specific on this.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I figured it out.
For other newbies:
1) You don't want to keep adding pointers which point to the previous pointer you found. Instead, you need to update your first pointer, to point to the last memory address you found, and keep adding offsets (to the bottom of the offset list), for the offsets as you find them.
2) To freeze a value in CE 6.3, you apparently need to click the "Active" column next to the value you want to freeze.
