I use v6.3 portable!

when generating a tiny trainer I get a message:
"please update your cheat engine version to cheat engine 6.2 or later"

-> only after installing CE, the tiny trainer works as expected.

I think this behavior is confusing & incorrect.
possible fix: in CE portable tiny trainer could create & use *.ini to see where CE portable is located. that way tiny trainer should work with CE portable.

There is no portable version of ce 6.3 right now. Just a download with all the files and a message telling you to setup the registry yourself.
