Is it just me or the byte scanner of CE doesn't work for 64-bit ?. The aobscan feature in autoaseembler works fine however.
I am using win 8 64 bit and tried this on Thief. Even if i just copy the bytes of the address shown in memory viewer and try to search, the finder returns an error that it can't find such bytes. It works fine on 32bit version of the game. _________________

For 64bit game, if you can specify module, use
aobscanmodule command
example:
aobscanmodule(label,game.exe,83 B8 E4 03 00 00 00 ?? ?? 80 B8 4C 02 00 00 00) _________________

his problem isn't with aobscan in aa, but with the normal memory scanner.
To do an equivalent scan as aobscan in auto assembler, make writable, executable and copy on write grey in the memory scan options. The default is to scan writable memory only, and code tends to be read only
edit: nvm he meant the ctrl+f scan in hexview _________________

Ohh, my bad. I think I'm still sleeping. This "It works fine on 32bit version of the game" deceived me. _________________

Solved the problem. The scanner i am using is in Memory Viewer > Find Memory and it didn't work because DB said he hasn't updated it (the fixed version is on svn now). The main window scanner/searcher still works fine, just use the scan all memory preset.
Guess i am the only one who used that one. _________________

I used it too, one or two times. I mainly use normal memory scanner, because I can treat foundlist as book m a r k.
Anyway, good finding.
EDIT:
what the hell, "b o o k m a r k." word is forbidden? (bookjoe.) _________________
