How do I cheat?

I been playing a mmo that I was simply able to scan a items durability. The gear ranges from 80d dura to 120 dura, used to be able to scan the dura, change it sell the item and rebuy. Now they patched it, do you think they made it save to the server making there no way to change it or they probably found a way to hide base value so i would need to use pointer scanner? Keep in mind its a really glitch game that breaks all the time and has been out for 4+ years.

It is possible that they now check the durability on the server instead of believing you yes. So it might be impossible now

Could you point me in the right direction maybe A guide I could search that could get me further into it and check the possibility.
