i am playing a game which i would like to "crack"..

I am familiar with the basic stuff of CheatEngine, like targeting a game, inputing addresses and changing values,searching for addresses in hex or not mode(maybe these are less than the basics, i don't know )

In this game that i'm playing, there is a "fortify system", in which you fortify/upgrade your gears. With every successful attempt, u get "karma" which is some points that you can use to fortify your gear with 100% success rate (for example: i have a weapon which is fortified to level 9, and if i have 18.000 points of karma i can use them to make it lv10 100%sure). I have found the address of karma (0153CB90) but it seems that it is only the address that shows me the karma points i have and thus changing the value of this address to whatever i like will not really change it,but the only thing that is gonna change is the points of karma it shows me i have.What i want to do, is be able to manipulate those points as i like (have as many as i want).

I have used the function: "find out what writes to this address" and i got a window with "mov" commands (which i don't know what they are) some "EAX", "ECX" something about a pointer address and more..

If the address you found is only the display, ignore it because it's a lie.

Do an unknown value scan and then work on increased/decreased/changed/unchanged until you find the real address(es).
