For two cards, you just need a motherboard that supports it. If you intend on running SLI/Crossfire etc., you will have to investigate as to whether or not the cards need to be identical (or thereabouts), depending on the card.

For 10 cards, without a custom setup, I'm not sure. I believe asrock makes a board that will support 4 cards in SLI configuration (maybe more?).

I'm not aware of too many practical uses for such a configuration, currently, other than mining digital currency...of which I really know nothing about.
