Well, first off, i have used cheat engine many times before on other computers, but I just installed it on my laptop (Windows 7 x64), and for some reason, it will not open, not even once! I made sure that no games are open, etc., but CE still wont open!!
Also, when i click on it, it asks for administrator permission (which I allow) And then proceeds to show the loading circle by my cursor, and then... Nothing happens! WTF!!! |

Just because no games are running doesn't meant the DRM for the games isn't running. Some of them use particularly-nasty background services.
It could also be your AV. Norton/Mcafee tend to be assholes and will close and delete your files/programs without asking or even telling you, if it thinks they're dangerous. Switch to something that doesn't shit itself at every shadow or turn down the heuristics settings and change it so it actually tells you about what it's doing? _________________

Try to open cheatengine-x86_64.exe in the cheat engine folder manually _________________

Make sure you have no games running , disabled/uninstalled your anti virus, and try the i386.exe instead
If that doesn't work then format your harddisk and reinstall windows. It then sounds like your system has been compromised by malware which is protecting itself by blocking software that can detect it _________________

| Ctrl +alt + delete and check every suspicious program by googling process name. Don't kill system processes like explorer and CSRSS! |
