Hey folks, sorry if this isn't the best place to post this. If it's not, feel free to move it and call me tardo.

I've read through several of the postings here and must say that you folks are incredible, hence my posting this to you folks.

I have a legit copy of AC 4 Gold Edition with all of the single player DLCs, completed the game and would like to go back and replay some of the sequences. As it should come out to be my luck, Ubisoft stopped cloud sync/backup of AC 4 and neglected to tell anyone. So, I formatted my rig and when I went to AC 4 - my saved game was gone. Back to starting over. So, ok, I figured I'd go ahead and bite the bullet and replay the game from the beginning. That's a no-go. Now there is a huge bug plaguing the game and when I enter a certain area of Havana, the game crashes.

So that's my story and why I don't buy lottery tickets. My question to you gurus is: how can I use someone else's saved game? I've tried several saved games that people have posted online and none of them are recognized by the game; I'm assuming because there is coding in the save game that directly relates to my account. I was hoping that it would be something as simple as opening a fresh saved game of my own and the saved game of someone else (both in hex editors) and copying a few lines from mine into theirs and then deleting mine and replacing it with theirs but I'm entirely too ignorant on this to know for sure what I'm looking at.

Any assistance you folks would be willing to provide would be immensely appreciated.
