Cheat Engine

I'm using the cheat engine tutorial for this, and I still can't get multilevel pointers right.

After I find the first pointer, and find out what accesses to the pointer; I change the value and nothing comes up in the debugger. And the automatic pointer scan brings up no results in the second scan. Tried all the debuggers too, VEH only didn't seem to make the tutorial crash.

Nvm, I found out what I did wrong.
Apparently you need to choose the address which looks similar to the original address. And each time you add an address manually, you need to enter the previous offsets. Dunno why it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial, hopefully it helps someone.
