Of course it's real. They said they would do 3 episodes, so it's not that big of a surprise

It's just that they never said when it gets released. My guess is still somewhere in 2025

Why do people think Valve would be stupid enough to make it an exclusive to Steam Machine or Steam OS? That would damage profit if anything...
Not to mention that it would probably be difficult (and pointless) to make an exclusive for something that's open-source and something that's open-hardware.

it would be funny if they made it Linux only, so internet and half life fans would go wild because they don't have linux and we all know that people are waiting it since 2003 when half life 2 was released.

its not like getting linux is hard guys, its fucking free, and any actual pc gamer who actually gives a shit about half life could install it in 5 minutes

If it's going to be linux only it's gonna be released after AMD release their new drivers that should be "as good as on windows"... I don't believe that its' going to be linux only because Linux users that have AMD GPU wouldn't be able to play it on higher than mid settings with resolution of 1600x900
