| I found a base address (green) for number of spray cans in Jet Set Radio (pointer with offset). However, while testing for another value, I crashed the game. When I restarted it, the base address for spray cans is no longer valid. How can that be if it was green? |

Make sure that the address is in modulename+offset notation (So doubleclick add and not added using add address manually)
It could also be that it's a weirdly written game (Blizzard games tend to allocate more than they need and use their own memory manager) _________________

I had saved 4 different codes in a .CT file. When I restarted the game and loaded it up in CheatEngine and tried to load the .ct file, it said it was invalid. So I opened the .ct file in notepad so I could see what the addresses were - tried to re-add them to the game, but they are just showing "?????".
When I first restarted the game after crashing, I had cheat engine running with jet set radio loaded with cheats ON. I wonder if holding those values while it loaded could have caused an issue?
Edit - -Damn! Just happened again. Found the NEW base addresses for all the codes I had before, then started trying to hack the same code as last time (trying to find the character address for jumping) then crashed the game. Restarted and now THESE base address aren't working.
Yet, there is a trainer released for this game. How can it be if the addresses change. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. |

My friend you just landed a Land Mine it goes boom if you touch. Have you tried Ollydbg although it very hard to use but just try.
If you can copy the Address/Code. Then use Ollydbg for Offline Modification.
Cheat Engine is a Realtime Code/Address Finder/Modifier. |

WHAT ? Drugs much ?
@Drivium: I am not sure what green base in CE means but if you're referring to a base pointer (base code) and it is changing then the game most likely uses code shifting. Its easy to tell, find out if your base "address" is in the exe or a dll. Sometimes even the base of exe moves in weird games so that is also possible.
Where can i get the game ? googling only brings an android game _________________

Sure. See below. I appreciate it!!! I don't trust the trainer I found online for this (flagged by my antivirus). Plus, I want to learn to do this on my own. Thanks!!!
