How do I cheat?

I'm trying to figure out the correct term to research when you can be alt-tabed outside of the target window & the program will still be only running inside that target window, any help will be appreciated.

what i meant is running my bot in a targeted sector while not interfering with normal computer task like writing e-mails, etc...
