Yes yes I know it picks up as a virus but in this case it's not that. When I hit download it downloaded a 153kb file and I proceeded in opening, going through the installation, and completing. After done I searched my computer for CE 6.3 and discovered that instead on CE6.3 I somehow got some online backup for my computer which I didnt even see in the offers no less. And to add insult to injury CE6.3 wasn't installed. It came from members.upc.nl and when I tried it on my phone it downloaded both the 153kb file and the 7.5?mb file. Im extremely confused on what happened.

No you didn't get a virus. You just need to pay attention to what you are clicking during the installation of cheat engine.

The reason for varying installer sizes is because the cheat engine link is randomized on the download page. Depending on which link you get will change the recommended software.

The link is broken on the small installer. It downloads 6.1 instead of 6.3 (I've been trying to get them to fix it but since I have no control over this it takes a long time)

As for the thing you didn't want installed go to control settings in windows add/remove software and remove it there(but yeah, with the small installer click either skip or decline on the bottom left, not proceed or accept)

I was 100% sure I had declined and unchecked everything but maybe so. I uninstalled the program and restarted so hopefully next time ill get the good link
