Report that your old phone is stolen with the phone company that phone used if you still have those details

Or accept that trade offer with that same guy and meet him with some friends (and cameras and put his face on the internet)

Also, always take a photograph of someones face before trading(Or doing any kind of business). If the person refuses do not trade as he might be a fraud (asking for information is of no use as that will often be false/temporary)
