Cheat Engine

Sooo basically I've been using Cheat Engine for a long time but not that tooo much advanced hacking stuff only those basic stuff. Soo now I've been watching vids and doing the tut on CE and basically finished up to 8 but not 9 Sad

I've been trying to make a CT/Script/Trainer for Civ V and been failing all them time >.< And can't seem to find any tuts how to make them playable.

I've found the gold pointer and somehow when I restart the game, the pointer doesn't work anymore, is there something I'm doing wrong or I'm not doing?

Can someone help me? It would be much appreciated.

P.S Been looking for tuts here too but some are outdated >.<

It's possible you are confusing values with pointers; make sure you understand the difference between these two concepts.

In the event you are using a pointer, then you are probably just using the wrong pointer - try another one.

In the CE tutorial forums, there are guides on it.

In the CE tutorial program, it goes over pointers.

There's quite a bit out there.

I'm quite sure it is the real pointer cos if I edit the value of the pointer it edits the value of my gold too.

Explain the process you are going through to find the pointer.

First I find the address
Then I pointerscan
Close the game
Find the address again
Do another pointerscan for that address

But when I get to the 2nd pointerscan I get 0 pointers :/

You may have to mess around with the pointerscan settings (e.g. increase the amount of offsets), although tread lightly because it is not readily obvious what some of the options do (perhaps purposefully - if you don't know what it does then don't mess with it), and because changing some of them will drastically increase the time/space required to perform the scan.

Another thing you can do is look into finding out what accesses/writes to the address you are interested in, and then follow those instructions around to see if they can point you in the right direction.

Looking a the Civ5 table that Recifense made, there seems to be a thing with gold values that are multiplied by 100. Maybe mess around with that.
