Hi there. I have recently discovered a glitch in a certain game with Cheat Engine.
I figured out how to change cars/colors on the fly pretty much.
The address that I need to change is always XXXX7A4D, where the XXXX represents the values that change. So half of the address is ALWAYS the same.
Is there any way to automate this in CE?
Right now, the process for determining the address:
Select car ( Car Id for example is 44445555 )
Search for the Array of Bytes (44445555) in CE. I get around 60 results.
Deselect car, highlight another car but don't select it.
Do a "Next Scan" for the same 44445555 value, around 10 results left.
SELECT the other car now, and do a Next Scan for the 2nd car value (example 77778888).
I am left with the 1 address, which is XXXX7A4D.
Now, if I change the value of that address back and forth between 44445555 and 77778888 with a hotkey or something, my car can change on the fly. People ask me OmG HoW U Du DaT?!?!?!
I do not want to give out this cheat engine script with those instructions. It would only be a matter of time before the ID list is figured out and people use my "hack" to change their cars to the overpowered cars (whereas, believe it or not, my intention was to move my slow car into a higher series..Believe it or not for the 2nd time in these brackets, I am actually winning these races too!).
So, how does one go about automating this? Would it help to try and figure out what the initial value is before selecting any cars? (The default value when the game starts up?) and see if that gives a unique address? I don't know.
Geri I think I need ya
Thanks for any help, or even maybe some "terms" I could use to find what i need through google I don't even know what exactly to search for. Thanks again.
EDIT:
I simply need to start reading on Dynamic Addresses.
Thanks
