Cheat Engine

Hello,

I have some problems trying to find a multilevel pointer on the game Deus Ex Human Revolution (1.4.651.0 steam version).

I know how to do it, but when I do it, my game crash. I am able to find the first pointer to the address I want, but as it is a multilevel pointer, I try to go deeper. So I click "Find out what accesses this address" on my pointer and then click "Find out what accesses this pointer" when he ask me for it.

Then, my opcodes window open with nothing inside it. So I go back to my game so Cheat Engine can scan it. But, as soon as I click on my game, it just crash with no specific error.

If someone want to know, I am trying to get the base pointer for Praxis points (upgrade points for the character ingame).

Someone know why my game crash like that ?

i guess this happens because the game has a protection so try:

- Setting ---> try to prevent the detection of the debugger [check it].
- or try to use another debugger method like use kernel-mode debugger.

this is works for me some time.
