|
|
I don't believe I can name names, so I will refrain from disclosing the game unless necessary. The game I play recently updated and now everything I was using no longer functions. It was not created by me personally, but I've recently started experimenting with CE and find it extremely fun.
So my first question would be, is there an easy way to see if there if a hotfix to just update the addresses, or seeing as they patched it, would I have to start entirely from scratch.
My second question, is if I have to start from scratch, how do I find values if they are not something I can readily change, such as health. For example, with my health, I only have to remove a piece of gear to change the value. But what if I want to change the stats on the gear itself, but have no way to make the stats on the gear fluctuate like I have done to my health.
I appologize for not being able to really get super in depth without maybe breaking a rule by naming the game.

| I'm not sure how to get the address of the stats on the gear, Im not too good when it comes to finding address's. If you have an AoB (Array of Bytes) you can update the address easily theres plenty of tutorials on CE for that. Or else I think you have to do them manually D:

Yes AoB scans is the best way. Also commenting in your scripts on how you found the values can be very useful as well.
But keep in mind that AoB isn't 100% reliable, because the byte array you used could have been changed in the update. also the offsets you used could have been shifted.
