				| My specs: Motherboard:Asus P8Z77-V DELUXE using the latest bios update
 Cpu:Intel I7-3770k OC to 4Ghz
 Ram:16Gb DDR3 Hyper X Beast OC to 2400Mhz
 Windows:Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate
Harddrives:Kingston SSD with only OS and drivers on
 2 SATA 6.0Gbs 1Terabyte 7200rpm HDDs
The annoying thing is DVBM was working a couple of months ago, by using the about screen and launching.
Now when I go to the about screen try to launch it has the DBK64 loaded, but then comes up with this error:
Could not launch DBVM: The Intel-VT feature has been disabled in your BIOS
This option is switched on in the bios which is weird.
 Any suggestions.

				| Reboot clean and don't run anything before running ce. (Not even games) Does the about screen still say your system supports dbvm?

				| You're really sure it's enabled in bios?
E.g: in my bios it says "intel vt disabled" = disabled
If i put that option to enabled it won't work

 Try this:
Open a lua engine window and execute this code:

  	  | Code: |  	  | dbk_initialize()
 print(string.format("IA32_FEATURE_CONTROL = %x",dbk_readMSR(0x3a)))

 |
 and then post the result

				| I ticked the open process it came up top left and loaded DBK64 and now when I open Cheat Engine.
This is what comes back from the LUA script:
 IA32_FEATURE_CONTROL = 1

				| yes, it's disabled in the bios. (the feature control field is locked (bit 0) but the intel vt (bit2) is 0 )
Perhaps windows disabled it ? Or you have a virtual machine in the background running that tells you it's disabled

				| I have done a format recently so I don't know if Windows may have changed anything, I'm not running a virtual machine that I'm aware of. It's definitely enabled in the bios:
Here's a screenshot of how it looks on an Asus bios:

 Update:
Seems Avast Anti Virus runs a VM in the background, so I uninstalled that now its working fine.
Thanks for the help Dark Byte.
 I've made a small donation.

				| Weird. Do you have vmware on your computer? If so, can you use that without a problem ? (enable intel-vt acceleration)

Hmm, can you boot of CD's or USB ?
here is a bootable iso with the latest version of dbvm: http://cheatengine.org/temp/vmcd.iso

it has a custom option for you (c) where it will bott your system without dbvm, but set and lock the feature control register
(You could also try booting dbvm with it, but it's easier and faster to do that once in windows)

 ah, avast.
weird, why would it do that ?

				| I checked on Google if my firewall Zonealarm had any issues with vt-x it didn't the next search was for Avast vt-x seems Avast 8 introduced this problem for some people trying to use vt-x. I took it straight off DBVM works fine now Avast is removed. I don't know what its doing exactly but theres some issue with Avast and vt-x
 Thanks again.
