What i want to do is, on my trainer have a text box that the user will enter the value of the item id they want. How do i use that value they enter to open the corresponding script and edit the hex value to the id they entered and then save that script??

I'm not sure why they need to edit a script if there's a textbox

Anyhow, to get the text from a textbox use something like: Formname.Textboxname.Text
