Hello,
I'm fairly new to cheat engine and the intricacies of how it works mostly escapes me. I just can't seem to grasp a lot of the codes and terminology and, essentially, everything else.
So, I'm trying to find a way to manipulate this game. I have found the dynamic address that corresponds to what I want to do. But, my issue is that I know if I exit out of the game, and then reload the cheat, its not going to work because it will have changed to something else.
How do I go about writing a script or finding the new address in order to have the cheat work every time I run the game?
Thanks!

If you do not want to get into scripting use the pointer scanner. You can find it by right clicking on the address and look for 'scan for pointer' (or something like that) For first time use I suggest leaving all of the options alone for now. So hit okay to start the scan. Once the scan is finished it will be filled with dynamic and static pointers (that's not good enough) so what you should do next is restart the game without closing cheat engine and find the new address.
Once you have found the new address go to the scan results (I forgot to mention don't close the scan either) and find rescan in one of the menu's (bad memory so I don't remember where stuff is ). Now keep on rescanning until you get a fair amount of results. Once you have a fair amount test the pointers to see if they reliable or not (some pointers may give undesirable effects you see) and once you have found a reliable static one, save it in a cheat table so you don't lose it!

what game ? what type ?
Yes, the problem so far :p is that the adress you are using changes, and you have to find the correct adress + offsets.
Pointer scan works on a lot of games if done right. But not on all games. So.. what game again ?
try cheat engine tuturial at c:/programfiles/cheat engine/ tuturiali386.exe
then
try google " pointer scan cheat engine"
or
google search - pointer scan site:forum.cheatengine.org
or even
youtube - pointer scan cheat engine
see if it helps. good luck

1) find the address of whatever.
2) right click it, pointerscan for this address, ok -> next -> agree -> yes
3) wait about 10 minutes (depends on how fast your system is)
4) reload the game
5) load pointerlist -> find the address again -> rescan pointer
6) repeat steps 4 & 5 a few times
7) pick a random pointer
8) right click on the pointer -> find what writes to the address pointed at by this pointer
9) go in game, make the values of the address change (within the game)
10) click replace
11) you're done
13) make sure the code doesn't write to other addresses, just yours, otherwise don't replace it.
