ok so sometimes my computer sound turns off for no reason. the windows sound doesnt get muted or anything, but nothing comes out of my speakers. when i log off it'll play the windows logging off sound and then after that everything seems to work again. when i play a youtube video while the sound isnt working, it'll play for a few seconds then buffer and say An error occurred, please try again later.

im on windows 7.

Id try to update/reinstall sound card drivers.

Did you individually turn down the sound for your specific applications or anything on that line?
